The date to RSVP for Olivia's birthday party is closely approaching and NOBODY has called to RSVP. I am a planner and would like to make sure that we have plenty of food and cupcakes. I see no reason in cooking for an army if nobody intends to show up. That leaves a lot of time and food wasted. This happened for both my baby showers with Olivia. Nobody called to RSVP but when the day came everybody showed up. I know people say that if somebody doesn't RSVP then don't worry about them. I on the other hand can not live by this principle. I wouldn't be able to turn a family member away from Olivia's first birthday. The question becomes whether or not I should call everyone invited to see if they will be there. As if I don't have enough things going on during the day I need to work into my day calling everyone. I have learned my lesson. From here on out I will not include RSVP because it must be a foreign language. UGH!

Hello
Let me introduce myself a little further. My name is Mary and I have been married to my husband Shelton for almost 4 years now. Shelton and I met each other in college and after years of a back and forth friendship we tied the knot. We have a beautiful daughter named Olivia who is turning a year old in a couple of weeks, and she is the light of our lives. I hope that through this blog I can share the hilarious stories that come with parenthood.
